10 TWITTER MOMENTS: MUSIC TWITTER REACTS TO THE OVERTURNING OF ROE V WADE

6/28/22

As much as I'd love to be bringing you this hilarious tweet by Lil Nas X, or these gorgeous photos of Megan Thee Stallion, or this adorable moment between Chloe x Halle, there were unfortunately more important things taking place across Music Twitter this week.

On Friday, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, reversing the constitutional right to an abortion after almost 50 years of precedent. Reproductive rights are the cornerstone of a functioning democracy, and this disturbing decision is going to put the lives of millions of women at risk.

Consequently, this week's column looks a little different than usual, focusing solely on Music Twitter's reaction to Friday's shocking ruling. Beneath every tweet, you'll also find links to abortion funds across hostile and unprotected states. Thank you to The Cut for helping us to gather these links. For other state funds, check out this Google Doc. Please give what you can during this time.

"My body, my right."
