10 TWITTER MOMENTS: TYLER, THE CREATOR FINALLY GOT A GRAMMY
It's been a hellah surreal week on Twitter, with my feed fluctuating between hilarious memes and hot takes on the GRAMMY Awards, to soul-crushing tributes to basketball giant Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna. It's honestly a weirdly impossible few days to summarize into a single introductory paragraph, so instead I'm just going to go ahead and present to you this week's edition of We Are: The Guard's 10 Twitter Moments, featuring Tyler, the Creator, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, and more.
Rest in power, Mamba.

TYLER, THE CREATOR FINALLY GOT A GRAMMY
I FAVORITED THIS 9 YEARS AGO JUST FOR THE MOMENT TO TELL YOU I GOT ONE. YES IM PETTY AS FUCK, GOOD DAY MARK. https://t.co/WfU85JeHEj

Tyler, the Creator scooping Best Rap Album was one of the rare highlights at this year's GRAMMYs (DID YOU SEE HIS MOM?) and the dude's Twitter feed in the days following the ceremony has only served to further convince me of this. Mark, I think you'll find you played yourself.

KANYE WEST PAYS TRIBUTE TO KOBE BRYANT
Kobe, We love you brother
We’re praying for your family and appreciate the life you’ve lived and all the inspiration you gave pic.twitter.com/pxbgLOOmpY

Kanye and Kobe. It doesn't get much more legendary than this, let me tell you. If you regard yourself as religious in any way at all, please make sure you get some prayers up for Vanessa Bryant and her family tonight.

LEWIS CAPALDI GOT MISTAKEN FOR A SEAT-FILLER AT THE GRAMMYS
A lady at the grammys has just come up and offered to take my seat because she thought I was one of the people who sits in the chairs to fill them when someone gets up to use the bathroom #GRAMMYs
— Lewis Capaldi (@LewisCapaldi) January 27, 2020
Lewis Capaldi's rise has been nothing short of meteoric since the release of his single “Someone You Loved,” but the Scottish crooner is still clearly not at the level of recognizability one would hope for after spending three weeks at the No. 1 spot. Maybe next year, Lewis!

SHE'S A LITERAL ANGEL AND THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY ON THE MATTER.
BILLY RAY CYRUS DOES THE DOLLY PARTON CHALLENGE

I've seen my fair share of Dolly Parton Challenges over the last week, but this one from Dolly's good friend Billy Ray Cyrus takes the cake. Did anyone else do a double take at the Tinder pic, though?
no wonder i swiped right i was like wow Billy is glowing https://t.co/juCSdKy8ZF

LIL NAS X LIVED HIS BEST GRAMMYS LIFE
— nope (@LilNasX) January 27, 2020
Nothing to see here, just Lil Nas X living his absolute best life at this year's GRAMMYs. Oh, how I've long dreamed of being the meat to a Lizzo and Ariana Grande sandwich. P.S. That pink nudie suit is everything!
NICK JONAS HAD SALAD STUCK IN HIS TEETH AT THE GRAMMYS
And at least you all know I eat my greens.
— Nick Jonas (@nickjonas) January 27, 2020
There was only one talking point that really mattered during the GRAMMYs on Sunday: What did Nick Jonas have stuck in his teeth? The suspicious green mark was spotted by keen-eyed viewers while the Jonas Brothers were performing “What a Man Gotta Do” at the ceremony, with Nick later taking to Twitter to confirm what we all thought: The dude had a whole-ass salad up in there!

FKA TWIGS DESERVED BETTER AT THE GRAMMYS
of course i wanted to sing at the grammys. i wasn’t asked this time but hopefully in the future. none the less what an honour. congratulations to all winners x
— FKA twigs (@FKAtwigs) January 27, 2020
I'm still entirely confused as to why The Recording Academy thought it was a good idea to relegate FKA twigs to the role of Usher's backing dancer at this year's GRAMMYs. To say it was a waste of talent is beyond an understatement. She ate that pole, though!

LADY GAGA SUBTWEETS HER HACKERS
can y’all stop pic.twitter.com/1jvZLdY6jV
— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) January 23, 2020
Lady Gaga subtweeting the hackers who recently leaked her song “Stupid Love” with this terrible stock photo is quite frankly a mood. Let's be honest, though – none of this would have happened had she dropped the album already. Just sayin'!
JAMES BLAKE WAS THE BEST DRESSED AT THE GRAMMYS
I’m absolutely fine. https://t.co/NoGGu1m5uT
— James Blake (@jamesblake) January 27, 2020
James Blake may have lost out on Best Alternative Music Album to Vampire Weekend's Father of the Bride, but one thing is for certain: He alongside girlfriend, The Good Place actor Jameela Jamil, most definitely won Best Dressed at the GRAMMYs on Sunday. I mean, THAT FIT!
