BEST INDIE POP - WEEK 2
So much for New Year’s resolutions. We, by we I mean I, kind of threw them all out the window the minute the clock struck midnight. The way I see it, every day is a new day to start fresh and make new mistakes, new memories, and obviously listen to new music. With so much happening in our daily lives, it’s hard to keep up with everything. We can’t manage your calendars, or do your laundry, or remind you to take your vitamins ... but we can continue to provide you with the best new indie-pop music each and every week for as long as music exists. With that being the case, scroll through and enjoy the latest curates batch of tunes from some of our favorite artists.
SOPHIE - SPLIFF IN MY EAR FEAT. BIBI BOURELLY, CHARLI XCX
Without a doubt, music the year 2020 is off to a banging start and here to make that point true is PC music Jedi Sophie. Together with Bibi Bourelly and Charli XCX, they are out to scalp us as one YouTuber pointed out. Enjoy the noise.
CAROLINE ROSE - FEEL THE WAY I WANT
Caroline Rose is spreading some contagiously good vibes in her single “Feel The Way I Want.” And you know what? It’s a nice change of pace. This song validates whatever reason you have for feeling what you’re feeling. I choose to be happy and in the moment and dance to the melody of this jam.
SIGALA - WE GOT LOVE FT. ELLA HENDERSON
I wanted to share this banger sooner but we were off on holiday. Even though Sigala’s track “We Got Love” is sooo last year, it’s still worthy of a mention and a listen because what is being preached is truth. With love everything and anything is possible.
SAM SMITH - I FEEL LOVE
On that note, the note of love, Sam Smith lets his disco diva out in “I Feel Love.” His rendition of Donna Summer’s hit single “I Feel Love” was a hot 8 minute piece. And though no one will ever trump the glorious Summer, Smith does a pretty good job at keeping it entertaining.
TAME IMPALA - LOST IN YESTERDAY
When all else in life fails, you can always count on Tame Impala to be there for you like he has been before. His music is like a warm blanket that protects you from the cold. It’s soothing, it’s inviting, it’s kind and “Lost In Yesterday” is one of those tracks you’ll want to keep on loop.
STORMZY - STILL DISAPPOINTED
Moral of the story here kids, NEVER, I repeat NEVER, mess with Stormzy’s mom. RIP Wiley.
NIALL HORAN - PUT A LITTLE LOVE ON ME
I hope you all haven’t gotten sick of hearing “Put A Little Love On Me” because this is perhaps going to be the #1 song this valentine’s day.
MOSES SUMNEY - ME IN 20 YEARS
Oh daaang. I think Moses Sumney just unleashed a new level of greatness. “Me In 20 Years” will convert you into a fan if you’re not one yet. The emotion is so real you can feel it in the air. You can sing your heart out along side Sumney by clicking on the lyric video above.
JUSTIN BEIBER - YUMMY
No, hell did not freeze over, I just happen to think that Beiber’s efforts are worth mentioning because after one listen, this song is going to get stuck inside your head whether you like it or not.
Ok, this week’s last and final song is more of a plug in. Because I truly believe that our Weekly Chart is one of the best things to exist, I’m dropping the embed and encouraging you guys to listen and subscribe. Can it get better than this? Perhaps and if it does let me know.
Have a great rest of the week. See you guys soon.

Beca Arredondo is easily unamused with all things not related to her interests. On her good days you can catch her avoiding the California sun and glued to her Mac plotting the next big thing. If you happen to run into her on the street and notice her wearing headphones do NOT disturb her. She is not responsible for any possible damage. Aside from the above she's very sweet and perky and responds well to good music and food.
