FMLYBND - WHERE IS MY MIND?

We’re going to kick off today’s list with our very own FMLYBND (no really— they’re signed to our music publishing division and everything!), because vowels just aren’t needed anymore. They give everyone’s favorite Pixies track, “Where Is My Mind?” a brand new electropop-spin with their breathy vocals, beats, and glistening electronic elements that take the track to an even dreamier level.

EVA & THE HEARTMAKER - I TOLD YOU

Norwegian electropop duo, Eva & The Heartmaker, are here to take you on a wonderfully dreamy ride with their new song, “I Told You.” With lyrics like “don’t ever forget you’re mine” and “I wanna earn the right to hold you,” it’s a threatening love song with echoey drums and lots of synths. The chorus is simply amazing and I have a feeling I’ll be obsessed with this track for days.

FRYARS - HABITS (BY TOVE LO) - RADIO 1’S PIANO SESSIONS

Performing on Radio One’s “Piano Sessions,” London’s Benjamin Garrett, aka Fryars, gives us a slowed-down take on Tove Lo’s hit single, “Habits.” Using nothing but sparse piano notes and his hauntingly smooth vocals, he creates a brand new and emotional rendition of the track that is totally chill-inducing.

BROILER FEAT. RAVVEL - WILD EYES

Norwegian DJ duo, Broiler, team up with Ravvel to create the infectious electronic track, “Wild Eyes.” Ravvel’s pop-vocals fit perfectly over Broiler’s blend of drum machine beats, horns, and swelling synths that create a dark yet dancey track.

LINNEA OLSSON - BREAKING AND SHAKING

Singer-songwriter Linnea Olsson will totally turn anyone into a fan with her new single, “Breaking and Shaking.” The track is driven by softly strummed guitars and thumping drums, while Linnea’s high and whispery vocals make you want to sing along with the catchy melody. After hearing this track, you’ll totally be searching for more of her material.

DIRTY SOUTH - WITH YOU (JAI WOLF REMIX)

With the help from FMLYBND, Dirty South just released his dreamy slow-burner, “With You,” last month and now New York-producer, Jai Wolf remixed the track to give us a new way to experience it. Jai Wolf gives the track a more upbeat vibe with his addition of brighter synths, magical arpeggios, and various electronic elements that make it even more magical than ever before.

PURITY RING - PUSH PULL

“Push Pull” is the first release from Purity Ring since their 2012 debut, Shrines. It’s a calm and dreamy electropop track that’s packed with deep synths and whimsical vocals that make me excited for the Canadian duo’s return.

TOM MISCH & CARMODY - WITH YOU

From their collaborative EP, Out To Sea, Tom Misch and Carmody just released their latest track, “With You.” The track is a great soundtrack for spending the night in during the wintery weather, as it’s packed with piano, sparse electronic guitar notes, a smooth R&B beat, and the duo’s haunting vocals. It’s a simply gorgeous track.

P REIGN FEAT. DRAKE AND FUTURE - DNF (XXYYXX REMIX)

Orlando’s XXYYXX uses his smooth production skills on remix of Drake and Future’s track, “DNF.” The young producer gives the track a new, laid back feel with his addition of atmospherics, a soft and echoey beat, and how he lowered the vocals.

KAPPEKOFF - YOU WANT IT

Now we’re going to travel back in time to the 80’s with Kappekoff’s totally retro track, “You Want It.” Although the vocals give the track a modern flare, the track features bright synths, bass, claps, and a wonderfully funky bass-breakdown around the 2:15 mark. It’s an original and uplifting track that’s just plain fun.

DISA - CURE

Icelandic singer-songwriter, DíSA, creates a low key and moody vibe with her latest electropop track, “Cure.” The track features her smooth falsetto vocals, pulsating bass, a simple and steady beat, and wobbly electronic elements that make for a haunting and catchy slow-burner that is sure to put her on the map.

I think that should hold you guys over for a while. See ya next week!
