TOP ELECTRO HOUSE - WEEK 28 2014
Wutup Ravers. You like my pic above? You'll be able to buy it as a hat pin at Hard Summer and all of the SoCal raves this Fall / Spring. The Hippies all wear the best fucking hat pins. I got this Jurassic Park / Bassnectar one - The Nectar Raptor - at Electric Forest that is out of the control. As the universe's pre-eminent Hippie-Raver, I think it's my job to bring hat pins to the Rave. So I'm starting up Soundbleed Pins and here's the first one. Come find me at any festival -- I'll have a backpack full of them (+ more). Let's party.
DJ HANZEL ONE DEEPER MIX FOR ANNIE NIGHTINGALE
Dillon straight up Killin' it. Finally we get to hear some of the Hanzel shit he's been teasing us with for years. I kinda thought it would never happen. We'd never actually hear Dillon mixing deep house. Here it is, and I fucking love it. This is just as bouncy and fun as I've come to except from Dillon, but in ze deeper house form. Now where's my fucking tour, dude / dudes?
ANNA LUNOE - ALL OUT
Anna really is the Queen of House & Bass. [I really Love that House & Bass is a genre now, thanks to AC Slater for calling his Night Bass night that.]
I really love her (so does every other male in their 20's who has good taste). This is just furthering her charm and talent. This track has got a great hook and it's always great when she sings on a track. You love Anna. See you anywhere and everywhere this year. :)
BASSNECTAR - NOISE
I saw Bassnectar on the first night of his Red Rocks run (RIP) and then I saw him again at EDC (way better btw) where he whipped out this song and HOLY FUCKING SHIT. This track is huge as fuck. It's like Bass Head 2.0. I'm a nectar freak and it's nice to hear him fucking bringing it with the best new track on a completely beautiful and amazing and badass new album.
PORTER ROBINSON - SAD MACHINE (ANAMANAGUCHI REMIX)
Yo, all this new Porter Robinson shit is fucking fantastic. And thank fucking God Anamanaguchi are getting their remix game on. They're too good of a band to not be embraced fully by the dance community. They need to be putting their chip tune touch on every song by everyone that's any good and likes good shit.
SKRILLEX & KILL THE NOISE FEAT. FATMAN SCOOP AND MICHAEL ANGELAKOS - RECESS (MILO & OTIS REMIX)
Hoo-Boy Skrillex sure is pimping the SHIT out of Milo & Otis.
But this remix is pretty fucking fun. It's EVEN better than the Flux Pavilion Remix, which is saying something about things I like so fuck me, right? I guess I need to shut the fuck up and stop hating. Kurt, welcome to team Milo & Otis. Cooel.
ALSO: Who the fuck knew it was Michael Angelakos singing on this track? Not fucking me. Thanks for the heads up, Skrill.
DARUDE - SANDSTORM
My friends rented a house Weekend 1 of Coachella and I came down and partied with them. I was doing a DJ set for them when he asked me, "If you could play any kind of set, what would it be?" I answered "comedy" and his ears perked up as he heard the baseline from Sandstorm being mixed in. He lost his shit.
I fucking love Sandstorm, straight up. Joke or no joke.
TIELSIE - PALETTE
I love-a the future bass. Give me that fresh fucking bass sound until the day I die plz. Not too into this vocal, but I don't mind too much cause when this bass comes in I'm havin a personal party with pete portnoy my partner in pizza.
Shut up Kurt. Okay.
TIGA - BUGATTI
When Tiga releases new music, I listen to it. It's just a deal we have. I don't always love it. But it's always fucking weird. And thank fucking christ for the weird.
I'd love a Bugatti right about now. Whatever, have to wait to Hard Summer. YEEEEE.
11 11 - MY HEART
Um Did Diddy and Guy Gerber just knock it out of the fucking ballpark? Yeah they fucking did. This is the most haunting, grooviest, tech-g-funk-house. Yet it's still got Diddy on top of it and it's not remotely obnoxious (like I could only imagine it would be.) Holy shit, I'm ready to hear this whole album now, please.
11 11 - make a wish.
That I had more of this to listen to, please.
MATRIXXMAN - THE SPELL
Last week Kraftek followed me on twitter! I'm pretty jazzed on Pleasurekraft and everything he's doing in the world of tech-house, so I was jazzed to have them scoping what i'm joking on the tweets. This track right here from Matrixxman is exactly what I want from my tech-house. Solid Groovy bassline, with cool synth flourishes for the club. This track would be rad and weird to hear out. That's what I love. Weird shit that doesn't make any sense and makes me perk my ears up. WTF is that? I'd say, moving my head out of it's drunken haze. Quick lemme Shazam that shit.

THANKS FOR LISTENING TO ALL MY SONGS! I HOPE U HAVE THE BEST WEEK!

About Kurt Kroeber
From deep within the murky depths of the Los Angeles River emerged a creature: 50% raver, 50% comedian, 10% Robotcop. Kurt Kroeber doesn’t own a dog, operates Soundbleed (the world’s only dance party comedy talk show rave), and is down to party with you. Come up some time and say “Hey dude!” But definitely make sure to casually drop the secret Illuminati password.
