“Shout out to all the bands still playing actual instruments” my ass! Mad props to Deadmau5 for blasting Win Butler on Twitter after he made that douchebaggy remark at Coachella. Don't give me  that “actual instruments” bullcrap. Good shit is good shit, no matter how it's created. Moving on. Let's discover some new indie music before another band no one cares about reunites. TUNE-YARDS – WATER FOUNTAIN

LYKKE LI (FEAT. A$AP ROCKY) – NO REST FOR THE WICKED

Surprise, surprise, A$AP Rocky has dumped a useless verse over “No Rest For the Wicked.” I'm not feeling the beat, and there's some dumb one-liners. “Pretty motherfucker from the North Pole.” Get back to playing Presidents and First Ladies with Lana Del Rey!

THE NEIGBOURHOOD – LURK

Not going to lie, I can't stand any of that Imagine Dragons or Awolnation shit. The Neighbourhood were as atrocious as those guys once, but recently it seems they're genuinely trying hard to forge an original sound. Mad props if they see it through!

BECK – BLUE MOON (LIVE)

What's more interesting about Beck these days, his music or his hat? I'm almost certain he's turning into Sting. Not that Morning Phase isn't a great record or anything, but meh! Maybe it's because this performance of “Blue Moon” lacks in a Father John Misty cameo?

ÁSGEIR – HERE IT COMES

It seems like Ásgeir is releasing new shit every week lately, and every week it's more beautiful than the last. My life changed the moment Curator Duffster introduced me to the Icelandic songwriter. It didn't, but it might as well have! Fuck Record Store Day, though.

VAULTS – PREMONITIONS

You know your band has sold out when David Bowie name drops you in an open letter. No offence, London Grammar, but I'm moving on with another British trio, Vaults. Undecided if “Premonitions” tops their debut single, “Cry No More,” but it's certainly massive!

AYER – BLACK DIAMOND

Ayer is my brother from another mother. No really, we've got a little thing going on over at Twitter. Okay, so he probably doesn't even remember speaking to me, but can't a girl dream? He has slayed me again with his new single, “Black Diamond.” Pop perfection!

TOMAS BARFOD (FEAT. NINA K) – BUSY BABY

Tomas Barfod's upcoming album, Love Me, is going to be the shit! It features a tonne of rad as fuck artists, including Luke Temple, Sleep Party People and Nina K. Nina features 4 times, actually. You may have already caught “Pulsing,” now dig “Busy Baby.” Epic.

ERNEST – ENTRANCE

Shout out to hillydilly for discovering this indie, pop and hip hop hybrid from Ernest. Before you go Googling, there's hardly any information out there on the Singaporean artist, other than a debut album is due in May. Excited, much? More Singapore vibes, please!

LAST LYNX – CURTAINS

At the time of writing, Last Lynx have 10,695 likes on Facebook. Make that 10,696, as I just liked them. Judge me, bros, but I hadn't even heard of the Swedish band until today. If you hadn't heard of them either, you're welcome! If you had, then why didn't you say so?
