Not gonna lie, this filtering business is becoming more difficult as the year progresses. Is St. Vincent the only artist with anything remotely interesting to offer the new indie music world at the moment? Sort it out, douchebags! Anyways it's cool as, against the odds, I managed to find you ten songs for my column, tentatively titled “BitCandy Meets the Grim Reaper.” Hmm, it's got a ring to it, no? If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise. If you go down to the woods today, you'd better go in disguise! For every hairy orb that ever there was, will gather there for certain because, today is the day the hairy orbs have their sexy times. As sung to the tune of trip hop!

BIG DATA (FEAT. JOYWAVE) – DANGEROUS

Exploding heads, lesbians making out and slow motion bouncing boobs? This video has it all! Not to mention Big Data's delicious electronic pop, of course. Is it depressing I answered yes to every question at the beginning of this thing? Oh my God, I need to buy a pair of Dangerous sneakers!

MOTHER FALCON – LET DOWN (RADIOHEAD COVER)

Mother Falcon are a gift that just keep on giving! In March, the hipster orchestra are due to release their own arrangement of the Radiohead classic, OK Computer. Judging by this gorgeous cover of “Let Down,” it's gonna be breath taking, spine tingling and other comparable bodily reactions!

LORD HURON – SHE LIT A FIRE

Not sure if this is Lord Huron's new video, or an ad for Free People's latest range of clothing? Only kidding, this really is Lord Huron's new video, and it's action packed as ever! Love the phoney novelist shit Ben Schneider has managed to keep going this entire time, too. Oh, those folkies!

MAUDLIN STRANGERS – OVERDOSE

Jake Bay is a dude from California who makes music in his bedroom and uploads it under the deceivingly plural moniker, Maudlin Strangers. That shit cray, right? “Overdose” legit sounds like the product of a veteran indie pop band, but nope! It's a bro in a bedroom. Tour please, Jake!

COUSIN MARNIE – CAIN

Not only is “Cain” hands down Cousin Marnie's best song yet, this has got to be the most adorable homemade lyric video in the history of homemade lyric videos! Sorry, I'm fangirling so hard right now over this British chanteuse. The fact she's the most gorgeous woman ever helps, of course!

PHANTOGRAM – FALL IN LOVE (LIVE)

Damn, Sarah Barthel is working those bangs! Plus they're not being tugged at by Wayne Coyne this time, which is obviously nice. I recommend you check out the entire session Phantogram did for Morning Becomes Electric, as Voices is probably the most underrated album of the year so far!

TRUST – ARE WE ARC?

Another week, another slice from Trust's upcoming masterpiece, Joyland. Oh, and good news everyone, Arts and Crafts are actually letting me embed the fucking thing this time! Calvin told you this was gonna be one of the best albums of the year, didn't he? Don't say we didn't warn you!

FYFE – SOLACE

Okay, I admit it, “Solace” is over a year old now. Give me a break, though! I'm awesome most of the time, but the odd artist does go under my radar, one of those being British songwriter, Fyfe. Not any more, obviously. In fact, I'm borderline stalking his SoundCloud awaiting new material!

BEVERLY – HONEY DO

Do you like jangly guitars, shit loads of reverb, fuzz pedals and hot girls? Meet Beverly, the moon baby of Frankie Rose and Drew Citron, and your new favorite band! “Honey Do” is the first single to be taken from their debut album, due out in the summer. Excited doesn't begin to cover it!
