Best Songs: L'Trimm 'Cars with the Boom'

Believe it or not, L'Trimm were among the most hated hip hop stars in the 1980s. Lady Tigra and Bunny D's bubblegum take on Miami Bass seriously irked hardcore rappers. But L'Trimm were not so much out to impress as to entertain. And that is why we think their goofy breakthrough single, 'Cars with the Boom,' is one of the Best Songs Ever, dang it:

'Cars with the Boom,' arguably L'Trimm's most famous song, is lifted from the Florida duo's debut album and Miami Bass classic, Grab It! The single peaked at #54 in 1988. In all honesty, there is very little else to tell y'all. Lady Tigra and Bunny D were the definition of “one-hit wonder” and after Grab It! they gradually slipped back into obscurity.
