Today's Candy: Radiohead 'High and Dry'

Tissues at the ready, as today, BitCandy are revisiting one of Radiohead's most tear-inducing tracks!
“High and Dry” is taken from Radiohead's 1995 album, The Bends - probably my favorite Radiohead record, EVER (judge me, Kid A fans).
The song was originally recorded for Radiohead's debut album, Pablo Honey, but the band dismissed it at the time, as they thought it sounded “too Rod Stewart.” Ha!
Thom Yorke said he was later forced to include the song on The Bends, even though he HATED it. In 2007, Yorke told Pitchfork: “It's not bad...it's very bad.”
Well, to that I say - BULLSHIT! “High and Dry” is one of the most beautiful ballads of all time. It sucks that Yorke disses the song, simply because it had mainstream success! All the MORE reason why Bon Jovi are way better than Radiohead. But ahem, I digress!
