Best of Weekly PopKiller !!! Week 32 2012
Hey poptarts! LA Music Blog, BitCandy, are backstreet's back (alright!) with the best alt pop from the past seven days! This week we bring ya tracks from OneRepublic, Bonde do Rolê and Snoop Lion, remixes of Ellie Goulding, Charlie XCX and Donnis, and then we wrap the party up with a pop classic from Honey B herself, Beyonce. Let's go!
Ellie Goulding "Hanging On (Svyable + PRFFTT Bootleg)"
BitCandy recently brought you Ellie Goulding's cover of Active Child's “Hanging On.” Now check this new remix from Svyable and PRFFTT, who have put the Tinie Tempah rap in the trash. YES!
OneRepublic "Feel Again"
OneRepublic rule okay? But in all seriousness, they are one of the better boy bands out there right now. And here is a taster of their new track, “Feel Again.” Plus Ryan Tedder (frontman) wrote "Halo" for Beyonce...one of the best pop songs of the last 10 years.
Charli XCX "You're The One (Odd Future's The Internet feat. Mike G Remix)"
We <3 Charli XCX and we <3 (non-crappy) Charli XCX remixes. You may have already caught St. Lucia's take on “You're The One.” Now check The Internet feat. Mike G's cut.
Donnis "Hello Kitty (Cid Rim Remix)"
Here is Cid Rim's hard remix of Donnis' hilarious “Hello Kitty.” We will do anything for a jam which name drops our favorite mass-consumed Japanese Bobtail.
Nicki Minaj "Pound The Alarm"
Say what you want about Nicki...she has haters. If you don't have haters you're doing something wrong. Great vid and yeah...it's a hit. We love our Pop.
Snoop Lion "La La La"
Here is the debut song from Snoop Dogg's new reggae alterego, Snoop Lion. On one hand... give me a fucking break! On the other... this shit is hot! Still, lay off the waccy baccy, Snoop.
Bonde do Rolê “Banana Woman”
Diplo's Mad Decent have just dropped this crazy fun cut from Bonde do Rolê. IT'S SUMMERTIME ERRYBODY =D!
Mac Miller "Missed Calls"
Mac Miller might just have a hit with a #1 most added at rhythmic U.S. radio with his song "Missed Calls." Nice one MM.
Beyonce “Crazy In Love”
Nine years down the line, and this song and video are still DA BOMB! And one of the only pop songs Jay Z didn’t mess up with his crap rap (see “Umbrella” by Rihanna).
That's it for today, poptarts, but feel free to bookmark LA Music Blog BitCandy's Best of PopKiller page for 24/7 access to awesome pop tuneage!
