Today's Candy: "Apache (Jump On It)"

Sugar Hill Gang were one of the first to sample The Incredible Bongo Band's version of Jerry Lordan's "Apache," a version which has since gone on to become a hip-hop sample mainstay. 1981's "Jump On It" is a classic slice of 8-ts cheese-rap, whose popularity enjoyed a second-coming in 1995 after Will Smith and his pedantic (yet ever-groovy) cousin, Carlton Banks, danced to the track in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Check out Sugar Hill Gang performing "Apache (Jump On It)," post fancy dress shop invasion, below. Say - what exactly ARE they jumping on? I mean, we figure it must be important. Any ideas? Comment below!
