BEST TRACKS: TOKYO POLICE CLUB "HOT TONIGHT"

It’s been a minute since anyone’s heard from Tokyo Police Club, but the Canucks are back with the best new track, “Hot Tonight.”  The indie rock veterans (seriously how did that happen) finally announced a follow-up to 2010’s Champ, with Forcefield due out later this year.

Apparently they’ve been working on the record since mid-2011, and the early returns are very promising. “Hot Tonight” is more of the sort of dance pop/indie guitar track that Tokyo Police Club has spent their career perfecting. The beat and hook are infectious, and this song has us yearning for the summertime. Or maybe just a warm body. Hear it below and figure out want it makes you want.
