BEST NEW TRACKS: RAURY "GOD'S WHISPER"

Raury is every principal's worst nightmare. His debut single, "God's Whisper," is also one of the best new tracks of 2014 thus far.

Just 17 years old, the Eastern ATLien dropped out of high school to pursue music full-time, as he recently told Billboard.com "I was fucking pissed. I hated school… I thought school was a system of indoctrination and brainwashing, and they just want you to go to school, graduate, have kids and die. That's something I won't compromise. I won’t live my life on my knees."

Raury channels his personal life into his music. You can feel the defiance and insubordination in "God's Whisper," a cut that perfectly melds elements of alt-rock and boom bap. Everyone is mentioning how young he is, but with a talent like this it's best to just let the art speak for itself.
