INDIE CHRISTMAS: KYAN PALMER - BLUE CHRISTMAS
There are few artists as confident as Kyan Palmer, which is probably why his contribution to We Are: The Guard Indie Christmas compilation song season is so sweet. At the ripe age of 20, Palmer decided to devote himself to developing his musical talents and he is wasting no time.
The Arizona native is now a bonafide Soundcloud star. His song, "Hidden Feelings" now has over 20,000 plays. It's a sultry jam about making a lover proud of his moves in bed. So a holiday offering is an unexpected departure. As proven via his brief and sudden career, Palmer clearly isn't afraid to experiment with his pristine vocals, which may explain why he's filling BIG blue suede shoes this winter season.
We're talking about his own version of Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas."
KYAN PALMER - BLUE CHRISTMAS
It’s quite a challenge to find any remnants of the 1950s given that it’s fully loaded with synths, snaps, and auto-tune as he repeats "Blue, Blue, Blue" alongside lines about snowflakes. The four minutes are very fun though, mostly because we imagine this would be the perfect song to dance to at a pre-pubescent Winter Wonderland-themed dance.
Okay, so it's not quite Elvis-level epic, but we're sure the King would be proud nonetheless.
