BEST NEW TRACKS: FENECH-SOLER "QUICK AS THEY RUN"
UK psychedelic electro-poppers Fenech-Soler have had a rather busy year. In September they released their sophomore effort Rituals, and now their never-before-heard cool song, "Quick As They Run," is being used to sell the new MINI, The New Original.
We're not particularly interested in how marketers are trying to sell any new car, but we would love it if more of them started using brand new tracks from great artists to do so. When did the trend of car commercials using great music start? I think it was when "We've Been Had" showed up in a Saturn commercial forever ago, but I wouldn't testify in court to that.
Anyways, "Quick As They Run" is pure, raw energy, with no chaser. Right from the jump the beat is pounding, unrelenting. By the time the 158 seconds are up, you're stuck scrambling for the repeat button (or in this case, moving your mouse over the play button again and then left-clicking). The howls at the beginning offers the listener an appetizer of what's to come. "Quick As They Run" features wall-to-wall sound for its entirety, making it a secretly great headphones cut. Really there's nothing negative to say about this track, except for maybe it ends too soon. You can decide for yourself if that's the case below:

Thanks for stopping by Bitcandy, where we don't know and don't even want to be told.
