Last week, the Goddesses of this world finally answered my prayers and gave me the collaborations I’ve always wanted: Bjork, the Knife, and Fever Ray swapping each other’s songs. Yes, I love to see it.

The tracks are every bit as weird and hyperactive as you can imagine them. Just listen to The Knife’s reworking of Bjork’s “Features Creatures” below.

If you’ll recall, Bjork’s last album Utopia was an homage to love and sounded like it came out of James Cameron’s Avatar. “Features Creatures” was quiet; a soft-spoken track among the other gentler ones.

The Knife’s interpretation? Not so much. When the Knife got their hands on this, melody was inserted; a dance beat. Yes, ladies and gentlemen. We have ourselves a bop.

And while I can listen to Bjork croon and whisper her way through an album, this new club anthem of hers hits hard and is actually palatable to play through the party aux cord. When you add Karin’s ghost of harmony throughout the reimagining, it’s a wrap.
