Best Of PopKiller (9 songs) - Week 38

Hey...Are we horny for great pop music? You betcha. We love our indie too but look...pop music is not a four letter word...at least not the pop music in our book. At BitCandy we're looking to be known as the totally awesome yet less esoteric / snobby version of Pitchfork. (Ok we're still going to be major snobs but that's beside's the point). We'll talk about the new Bright Eyes album and in the next story talk about a hot Britney remix. Because what we care about is...SONGS! We don't believe in genre anymore. Today...the Kanye fan is a Lady Gaga fan is an Arcade Fire and Skrillex and Best Coast and MF Doom and Bon Iver fan...Just guessing. So let's celebrate some exciting pop music. And since we're horny for pop music what better way to start off with LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It"
LMFAO "Sexy and I Know It" - Make no doubt about it. When LMFAO make a video...they do something remarkable. Meaning...to make a remark about. And with their "wiggle wiggle wiggle' they have done it again. My favorite YouTube video comment "WTF did I just see?"
Paper Diamond "Can We Go Up" first single from Paper Diamond's new Paragon EP. "Can We Go Up?" "Yes Yes Yes You Can!"
"Strange Clouds" B.O.B. - Just a little snippet I snagged that Dr. Luke was tweeting up about. My guess is that Cirkut is on this one too...and who is Cirkut? You'll see.

"This Ain't Water" Starting Six - Keep an eye on this project out of the bay area...Great little club banger that might creep into radio.
Gucci Goth (Kreayshawn vs Gang Gang Dance) The Hood Internet. Yup, only The Hood Internet would have this brilliant idea to mash up Kreayshawn with Gang Gang Dance. That's mashup art.
“Car Song” f/ Santigold Spank Rock - New Spank Rock out September 27th and it's all really really really good. German Electro master Boys Noize at the helm.

"Paradise" Coldplay - Needs no introduction.

"Bonfire" Childish Gambino - Da Donald signs recently to Glassnote Records (same label as Mumford & Sons, Phoenix and soon to be new heavyweights Givers. Interesting move.
"Criminal" Britney Spears - Next single Yo! New video I hear involves Britney robbing a bank. But of course we all know she's singing about Lindsay Lohan's criminal activities, right?
