BEST NEW TRACKS: SNOW GHOSTS "BOWLINE"
Experimental British trio Snow Ghosts have announced their second LP and released the hauntingly beautiful single, "Bowline." Strong month for them thus far.
Hannah Cartwright (Augustus Ghost), Ross Tones (Throwing Snow) and the newly-added Oliver Knowles (EXES) will put out A Wrecking early next year. If the rest of the songs on it sound as good "Bowline" it's a shoo-in for one of the best records of 2015. At first the twinkling piano and strings remind me of Moby's "God Moving Over The Face Of the Water" but then the synth kicks in around the 90 second mark and things get dark. Cartwright's vocals are hypnotic as they mesh perfectly with the surrounding instrumentals. Just an effortlessly gorgeous track.
Listen below and get excited, 'cause your day is about to get a whole lot better.
