Best New Tracks: Low "Just Make It Stop"

Marriage and Mormonism are two institutions I've never particularly cared for; however, the music of Low makes me reconsider both. The latest offering from husband-wife duo Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker, The Invisible Way, features "Just Make It Stop," one of the best new tracks around.

"Just Make It Stop" is a bit repetitive lyrically, but the lush harmonies and hypnotic, slow-building music make that a moot point.

For a band that's been at it for 20 odd years, it amazes me that Low continually builds on and expands their sound. Jeff Tweedy (of Wilco fame) produces this record, and his fingerprints can be seen throughout.
