BEST NEW TRACKS: DAGNY - LOVE YOU LIKE THAT

People say the word "love" a lot: They love their romantic partners, their friends, their family, their pets. Then they also love Target and pizza. When you overuse a phrase, it tends to lose its meaning. Dagny says "I love you" so many times during "Love You Like That" that we couldn't keep track. Still, we believe her and we're ready to sing along.

DAGNY - LOVE YOU LIKE THAT

Dagny is just the latest singer/songwriter from Norway to add to your music library. "Love You Like That" is just the latest song to prove that each new release from her is fresher than the last. First, her whimsical sound came out of nowhere with her debut, "Backbeat." Since then, she's experimented with a variety of vocal and production tricks, and even collaborated with one of our favorite pop chart topper, BORNS.

Now, this new single is addictive in its own way. Maybe we're not bothered by her overuse of the declaration of love because the lyrics are actually all about being too afraid to say it: "You hate that I usually don't open up/ I know when I say it, it doesn't say enough / With you close, I'm the happiest I ever was." It could also be that each verse's instrumentals glisten with a new surprise—with claps, synths, and a sudden drum kick mid-way through.
