BEST NEW SONGS: MADE IN HEIGHTS “POP IT IN 2”
The boy-girl electro pop duo Made In Heights is back this month with their sophomore LP, Without My Enemy What Would I Do, and riding shotgun on this return is the hit-in-waiting single, “Pop It In 2.”
The Los Angeles-based band has finally delivered another full album after a series of stunning singles, although “Pop It In 2” is the best of the bunch. The song starts with a slow build, as Kelsey Bulkin rap-sings over a hypnotic beat. On top of this lo fi foundation a serious of woozy harmonies and dizzying sounds are laid to create a track so infectious it’ll make you forget what you’re doing and start dancing.
“If you can feel the beat why the hell are we talking?” feels like the best weekend rallying cry I’ve heard in a long while. Is it Friday yet?

Without My Enemy What Would I Do is out now and is fantastic. If you’re anti-buying things you can always stream it on Spotify too.
We’ll leave you with the lyrics to Made In Heights “Pop It In 2”:
don't play around, don't play the fool
don't mess around in my head
go tell your friends to get off the wall
and just pop, pop it in
don't play around, don't play the fool
don't mess around in my head
go tell your friends to get off the wall
and just pop, just pop it in
just pop it in (ah)
just pop it in (ah)
gone, gone, gone, gone
(ah)
just pop it in (ah)
if you can feel the beat, why the hell we talking, talking baby?
if you can feel the beat, why the hell we talking, talking?
just pop it in
if you can feel the beat, why the hell we talking, talking baby?
if you can feel the beat, why the hell we talking, talking?
just pop it in
don't play around, don't play the fool
don't mess around in my head
go tell your friends to get off the wall
and just pop, pop it in
don't play around, don't play the fool
don't mess around in my head
go tell your friends to get off the wall
and just pop, just pop it in
if you can feel the beat, why the hell we talking, talking baby?
if you can feel the beat, why the hell we talking, talking?
just pop it in
if you can feel the beat, why the hell we talking, talking baby?
if you can feel the beat, why the hell we talking, talking?
just pop it in
