BEST NEW INDIE: UNLIKE PLUTO - NOTHING WRONG WITH ME
AlternativEDM.
Just coined a new genre. Done. Easy.
Or Unlike Pluto did and I’m just the vessel from where the words come. I mean he did all the real work after all in creating a song that fits as casually with early 2000’s alterna-grunge as it does with late 2010’s electro-future. I don’t even know if you understand how mind-boggling of a task that is. The Los Angeles based singer/producer lulls you into a false sense that this is just a killer pop-rock song with massive radio potential until he whips out the drop and you’ve never been more sure of anything in your entire life. With future-bass drops that belong at any rave any time of day and a hook that would make it to TRL. Just image the incoming remixes. Oh boy.
UNLIKE PLUTO - NOTHING WRONG WITH ME
This mixed genre mash-up is unlike anything else out there, blending styles and sounds so seamlessly to create something so much more fulfilling because of it. This is only Unlike Pluto’s second time using himself as a vocalist and I don’t think he should ever look back. Earlier songs use featured vocalists and just don’t have the same je ne sais quoi. Check out Unlike Pluto becoming your favorite artists in your headphones later today.
From deep within the murky depths of the Los Angeles River emerged a creature: 50% raver, 50% comedian, 10% Robotcop. Kurt Kroeber doesn’t own a dog, operates Soundbleed (the world’s only dance party comedy talk show rave), and is down to party with you. Come up some time and say “Hey dude!” But definitely make sure to casually drop the secret Illuminati password.
