The last time I heard a flute get this much action was when I watched Ron Burgundy perform a solo in the movie Anchorman. That scene made me realize just how underappreciated this sexy piece of woodwind could really be if given the right stage. Now, I can’t say for sure but it seems that producer Four Tet thought the same and decided to show the world just how alluring the reedless instrument can be.

Four Tet’s freshest single “Teenage Birdsong” is a luscious atmospheric soundscape of looping flute sounds. It’s a think piece that allows your mind to wander as the synths float in the background. Take a listen below and let your body sink into the single’s landscape.
