NEW ARTIST FINDS: ROSEMI

4/8/16

We just stumbled upon 19 year old new artist ROSEMI (or Rozy S Kim, according to her Instagram profile), and we were instantly hooked to her smooth and spacey electronic sound that we heard on her track “New Born Baby.” We unfortunately don’t know much yet about Rosemi, except for the fact that she has a way of singing in a baby-talk vocal style that would even make the likes of Lana Del Rey uncomfortable— which totally works, by the way— and that she has a pretty rad style that all of your Tumblr-loving girlfriends would approve of. So get cozy, grab some head phones, and read on to discover the easy going electronic sounds of Rosemi.

ROSEMI - NEW BORN BABY

“New Born Baby” isn’t exactly a super new song, but we couldn’t wait to share this awesome track with you guys once we heard it. It’s a very smooth and chilled-out track that sounds like it would have been featured in an episode of a 90s’ teen drama on The WB. (What— you don’t know what I’m talking about? Check out the Buffy the Vampire Slayer soundtrack and then get back to me…you’ll see what I mean!) Wobbling electronics, echoing snap-filled beats, and and Rosemi’s sugary sweet child-like vocals keep you hooked throughout its short but sweet 2:48 duration. The video’s gloomy beach vibe is totally fitting, and adds to the song’s soothing and hazy feel which will keep you coming back for more.

If you’d like to hear more from ROSEMI, check out her SoundCloud page and show her some support! And while you wait for her to release even more new material, head on over here for even more BitCandy-approved new artists!
