Indie Rock

We've been waiting two years to hear new music from MisterWives and the time has finally come. Since they've announced their sophomore album, they have premiered four equally delightful tracks and the most recent song is the best one yet.
Like many of us, Phoenix seem to be growing tired of the maximalist HD pop, in favor of something more personal, if J-Boy, the lead single off of the upcoming Ti Amo is any indication.
Los Angeles natives SAINT MOTEL are already pros at cranking out fun indie rock hits, and their latest track, Move, is no exception. Move is the energetic lead single off of their upcoming album, Saintmotelevision which will be out in October, and we here at The Guard are super excited for its release.
Just like that, the competition for song title of the year is over. It helps that White’s latest, I Liked You Better When You Needed Me, is also a great cut too. White has been one of the biggest buzz bands of Europe’s festival circle this summer, and with I Liked You Better When You Needed Me you can understand why.
DENM is a brand new Los Angeles-based artist/songwriter/producer that has won us over completely, and we’re super excited to bring you another side of his unique sound. He just released an acoustic stripped-down version of his latest hyped up track Lit, and we’re totally loving the song’s energetic yet chilled out vibe that’s perfect for the warming weather.
David Burns, aka Low Cut High Tops, is a bit of a mad scientist when it comes to writing music that’s edgy, fresh, and ridiculously fun, which makes his new album Eh, Whatever one of our absolute favorite new releases of the year! Luckily, he’s been awesome enough to allow us to offer a limited time free download of his new album!
Good Day may be the most accessible and pop-centric song we’ve heard yet from Low Cut High Tops, but at its core is a guitar riff that channels the likes of Joey Santiago (Pixies) and Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse).
TEDDY is not one guy with a broken caps lock key, but three fine young gentlemen from London. They have a bright, upbeat pop sound and with only one track under their belts, it will be interesting to see where they go from here.
The thermostat on my snapchat read 103 F today, which means summer is here and shade is once again a chief commodity. Just in time for the heat comes this effortlessly cool new song, Nobody Knows from D.C. trio Misun.
Although he plays live with a backing band, new artist Monogram is essentially a solo project for Liam Rutherford, guitarist of the now-defunct Scottish band The Darien Venture.
The latest effort from solo act Low Cut High Tops, which we are very excited to premiere, is an engaging psychedelic single that demonstrates once again his impressive artistic abilities. Pretty Eyed Girl sets the perfect platform for his unique vocals to shine.
