THE BEST TIKTOK MOMENTS: DILLON FRANCIS THINKS DAVID DOBRIK HAS THE HOTS FOR HIM

12/10/19

So much of pop and indie culture happens on social media these days. It's gone so far past just status updates and pictures of people's breakfasts. A lot of the time, social media posts are works of art unto themselves.

TikTok has become one of the go-to sources for actual art from some of your favorite creatives, as well as their fans. That's not to say that everything you see on TikTok is the most brilliant art of a given moment, don't get us wrong. We Are: The Guard fully acknowledge there's plenty of cringe on that platform. There can also be some real gold, amidst the detritus.

Here are some of our favorite TikTok posts from this past weekend.

BEBE REXHA GETS BURNED OUT

Bebe Rexha's been posting TikTok videos from the road, on her current tour. Her most recent one, over the weekend, shows her getting ready to chill and compose herself before a show, only to find a crowd of "adoring fans" in her dressing room.

It's like, "Okay, I love you. Could you please get out my dressing room!" Mak Sauce's "Good Morning" makes for a good soundtrack, a satirical response to morning people everywhere.

DILLON FRANCIS THINKS DAVID DOBRIK HAS THE HOTS FOR HIM

Dillon Francis and David Dobrik have a real bromance going on. Of course, guys have a funny way of expressing love and affection. The LA DJ posted a video back in August to Facebook titled "F*ck you, David, I love you!"

Well, the duo's complicated relationship continued over the weekend on TikTok. Dillon Francis posted a video of David Dobrik in the front row, pumping along to Francis' pumping techno. He titled it "Is he saying he's my #1 fan or is he just horny?"

A bit of both, most likely, Dillon. A bit of both…

THE ROCK POSTS A BESTIES VIDEO

It's beyond wholesome and hilarious to see The Rock lipsync along to Kiara's "bestfriendcheck." The short video shows The Rock giving love, hugs, and goofin' off with some of his BFFs, over Kiara's folksy ukulele soundtrack.

BOB SAGAT DOES DOJA CAT

Even if you've seen some of Bob Sagat's stand-up, it's still a little weird to see him lip syncing to Doja Cat's "Candy." Doja Cat is all things millennial - a sex-positive, weed smoking, liberated woman. It's also hilarious, and weirdly appropriate.

REST IN PEACE JUICE WRLD

Complex Magazine posted a clip from the tail end of a Juice WRLD concert where little did we know that these would be some of his last moments on stage. Juice WRLD gives an impassioned, empowering shout-out, to remind his fans they can do anything, be anything, they want.

KENDRICK LAMAR REMINDS US WHY HE’S VIRAL

Let's be real, it's a little hokey when musicians hold a mic out to a crowd to finish a chorus. It's like, "Do your job, we're not here to sing for you!" It's the height of a cheesy, pandering BS rockstar move, the kind of thing you'd expect from Creed.

It's a whole 'nother story when a crowd can rap an entire verse, though. Especially one as wordy as something from Kendric Lamar.

Stay tuned and check often for more TikTok videos and social media updates from yr favorite pop stars and indie celebrities!
