BEST NEW EDM: RINNGS - CUTTING THE CLOTH

4/27/17

How about RINNGS, huh? "Cutting the Cloth" has to be one of the most fire sex-laced future R&B tracks I’ve heard all year, and I literally spend 12-16 hours a day listening to sex-laced future R&B tracks. With only one song and nineteen followers on Soundcloud, We Are: The Guard surely had to beat all your other hipster-discoverer friends to the punch on this discovery. Pretty dope if we say so ourselves. Go ahead, spread the word—they deserve it. You can even take the credit if you want, we don’t mind.

RINNGS - CUTTING THE CLOTH

I remember the good old days when future-bass-future-R&B-future-sex-future-trap didn’t even exist yet except as a theoretical Justin Timberlake album title. When the Cashmere Cats and Trippy Turtles and DJ Sliiinks of the world were inventing strange sounds in their bedroom to incorporate into their now-classic dance music tunes. Now it’s as unanimous as auto-tune in radio hip-hop in T-Pain’s prime and I gotta say: I DON’T HATE IT! "Cutting the Cloth" from RINNGS is an impressively seductive little future-bass R&B jam using new versions of old sounds made to sound completely new. Just as influenced as modern R&B maestros like How to Dress Well or The-Dream as they are the future classic all-stars. It’s like that new Spiderman: Homecoming movie. Haven’t we already had like seven of these? YEAH, BUT THEY’RE ALL DOPE.
