Straight outta Compton comes Tom Misch and his song “Lost in Paris.” Well, maybe not out of Compton, but this British producer is making his rounds here at We Are: The Guard, where good music finally gets the spotlight.

A producer by trade, Tom Misch is a member of the young guard in the United Kingdom's music scene. While the country is of no shortage of talent, Misch's easy-going brand of music has made him quite the intriguing draw. With soul making its rounds in this generation, Misch could be one of the standards bearer for the genre of neo-soul. In the same vein of his creations, he is doesn't do much in the way of small talk, especially on stage, where is pretty much just plays, sings, and leaves. Well, he is a musician, so why not let the song do all of the speaking for him?

“Lost in Paris,” off his recently released album named “Geography,” is one of those relaxing, but invigorating jams that has all of the charisma of Pharrell Williams. As far as lounge-destined easy listening goes, this one is the ticket with two cocktails on the side. While it is catchy and pretty repetitive, it doesn't last long enough to really get on your nerves.
