BEST INSTAGRAM MOMENTS: DUA LIPA’S SONG IS FIIIIRE

1/31/20

And just like that, the first month of the new decade is over! Is it 2030 yet? I feel like I’ve aged exponentially, especially being an Angeleno native taking in the hard news of the past couple days. We here at We Are: The Guard love to joke around and be irreverent but we fully support the idea this week of being nice to one another. Even for just 24 hours.

Okay, enough of the sappy sh*t. Let’s see some Instagram posts!

FIVE ARE YOU KIDDING

A post shared by BILLIE EILISH (@billieeilish) on Jan 27, 2020 at 12:06pm PST

Billie Eilish became the youngest artist to basically sweep the Grammys (Best New Artist, Best Album, Best Record and Best Song), and we don’t know anyone who would be any more deserving (and any more humble) of the feat. Congrats, Billie!

Our favorite Spanish queen Rosalia got her first Grammy this weekend AND killed it on the stage!

Last Grammy post, we promise! But how awesome was Tyler’s performance? IGOR was one of our favorite albums last year so we are loving ALL this hype for Tyler.

H.E.R. AND AEROSMITH

New talent met classic talent last weekend when H.E.R. helped honor Aerosmith’s accomplishments!

This week, Kali gave her gratitude at being able to make her film debut (and Sundance debut) in an American/Colombian film. We are SO proud of her — but we have to feature this anime fit she wore at Sundance. Excessive. We love it.

As someone on the Internet expertly noted, the Gay Yeehaw agenda is stronger than ever and we are LIVING for it.

I’m nominating the LinkedIn/Tinder/Facebook/Instagram meme as the worst of the year so far, but even I have to admit Charli’s version of it is HILARIOUS.

We’re ending this week’s post with artwork that Chance the Rapper posted featuring Kobe and his daughter Gianna. It’s been a dark week, y’all. But if there’s anything Kobe’s taught us, it’s resilience.

Love you all!
