Best Indie Pop/Alternative Pop Week 31 2013

7/31/13

Happy winesday**derp**. We’re starting the weekend early with the help of my now empty red solo cup and our curators who helped pick out some juicy tracks for ya. Oh, BTW, if you want to learn that your ears have the ability to lose feeling, shrivel up, and crawl into your body, then listen to Nickelback or insert any other crappy band name here:___. For everyone else trying to avoid a disturbing experience, it’s time to turn the volume up on the best of indie and alternative pop for the week.

Extra Fly - D.VELOPED [Kanye vs Tracy Chapman vs Spandau Ballet]

This is what is called a 3-D remix. Either you’re gonna love it or, you’re gonna WURV it! To quote my fellow bro here, “It’s really damned good.”

FMLYBND - Far Away

Shhh, can you hear that? It’s another hit song from a band who awed us with their first single, "Electricity." And once again, FMLYBND is offering a free download.

Ellie Goulding - Burn [Tiesto Remix]

For those of you who couldn't cough up a liver to go to Tomorrowland, you missed out on people sh*tt*ng themselves when Tiesto released a danceable version of Goulding’s single, "Burn."

Bassey & Ginsburg - MYFB (Oliver Vs. Fabolous)

Bust out the neon spandex biatches. It’s time to kick that booty into high gear...For more booty bouncing bangers, check out Norman Bassey’s projects here.

Icona Pop - All Night

With Icona Pop it’s always fun time summertime all the time, and after 4 years in the making the duo will finally release their debut record This is...

Vampire Weekend - Blurred Lines (Robin Thicke Cover)

Woah, Vampire Weekend decided to let loose for a bit and miraculously made a Jazillion vaginas explode at the sound of the cover. So if this is your first time listening to the single proceed with caution.

Little Majorette - Never Be The Same (Curator Andy)

Fans of The xx, check out our latest synth pop treat. Thanks to curator Andy for introducing us to another great band from Sweden. "Never Be The Same" is taken from their debut album, Rifle Heart, available now. https://www.facebook.com/littlemajorette

Beyoncé - Grown Woman (Monsieur Adi Remix)

What kind of popsmut post would this be if we weren’t to throw you a heafty remix of Queen B’s "Grown Woman" produced by (our current obsession) Monsieur Adi. Love the remix? Check out this and more over at his soundcloud page.

Alrighty then, loves. Getting a bit thirsty here. We’ll be back with more shameless indie and alternative musak for you next week. Until then, check out our FREE online radio, where we play your indie favorites all the time. Cheers!
